Nothing to difficulty in the game which makes it an easy enough play through. Most of the initial game bugs have been fixed and I never encountered any game breaking bugs. I would recommend playing with a controller just due to the nature of the game as well as a prominent game mechanic that was clearly designed for use with a joystick when it first came out. I know there making adjustment to allow for custom control mapping but honestly I say it’s much easier to play on a controller and its well optimised for it as well.. A Classic 3D Platforming Adventure in the vain of Legend of the Zelda. A musy play for anyone who is a fan of the PS2 era of games or anyone just looking for a huge adventure that is massively under-rated.. Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is a Gamecube/PS2/OG Xbox original that I used to play a lot in my early childhood. The game itself is reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda series, but is very different and unique in a very tasteful way.I was so excited when I saw that this game had been released on Steam. So far it's a very great PC port IMO, very well optimized and the textures look pretty good for being ported from PS2/Xbox/Gamecube generation. The developers of the game (THQ Nordic) are hard at work and have been releasing patches every few days for bug reports.Visuals: amazing for its age, 7/10Soundrack: 10/10. No joke. Every ingame area/menu has its own music, and they're all so very well made.Controls: 9/10. Controller recommended. Not very good kb&m optimization at the current point in time, but this game wasn't exactly made for PC. It would take some serious re-writing of the game's code to have proper keyboard and mouse controls. Luckily like i said earlier the developers are working on this and should deliver in a future update.Plus the game has achievements!!! All very well named and placed. Very impressive. 0 jaggies!As far as the game itself, it lives up to my memories. It still plays and looks like the budget title it was in 2003 though. Some rough edges and a lot of the same textures used way too much. If you can look past that, the combat and puzzles are a lot of fun! Character animation is a joy, I love the Mummy thumbs-up after getting major items.Only gripe is having achievements for the museum. That was an utter grind in the original release, and I don't want to do that again.
